We have recently registered a lot of new patients with the practice.
Our practice list size is bigger than it has ever been and still increasing.
Over the years we have tried to remain flexible with our boundaries, however the quality of patient care and safety is compromised by having patients living many miles from the surgery.
We cover an extensive rural area which includes several new housing developments- and this is why adhering to this zone has become increasingly important.
Patients who who move outside our boundary will be asked to register at a practice closer to their home.
If after writing to these patients, they do not make arrangements to registered elsewhere, action will be taken to notify Primary Care Support England and the patients will be removed from our list (“deducted”)
We know that some patients who have been with the practice for many years may be reticent about making changes but patient safety for all remains the over-riding priority.
