This week is when our registrars change over so we have said goodbye to Dr Rabia Ali and Dr Justice Onuoha.
Justice will be working in paediatrics, A&E depts and then in some larger GP practices in the area over the coming months – we should see him back here in 2028.
Joining us this week are Dr Ponzing Sheni and Dr Abdulrasheed Addulsalam.
Ponzing and Abdulrasheed will be seeing patients in clinics for the next 6 months. We welcome them to The Croft Surgery and hope that they enjoy their time here.
GP Registrars are fully qualified doctors undertaking the further 3 years training necessary to become a GP. They have undergone additional training to enable them to diagnose and treat in the same way that the doctors do for many conditions.
This practice takes an active part in training junior doctors and medical students. This is the way we can play a part in building a generation of new GPs to serve patients in the future.
When you call or visit the surgery you may therefore be treated by a GP Registrar.
