Patient Participation Group (PPG)

Being part of the Patient Participation Group is your chance to help shape the development of the practice and the services that we offer.

The PPG includes GPs and administration staff as well as patient representatives and meets three times a year.
Sue Gallagher is the patient lead.
Dr James Knox and practice administrator Mrs Samantha Willis help to coordinate the group.
We are very fortunate to have an active and engaged PPG.

Aims

• To help to improve the experience of attending the surgery
• To assist the practice decide on overall service priorities
• To help to understand the patient perspective of the level and standard of the service provided
• To act as a wider channel for communicating changes at the practice and at a wider level within the NHS
• To provide links between the surgery and the wider community in which we practice
• To help improve the overall experience of the practice for all patients

We aim to be as representative of the practice population as possible and are always looking for new members. We would particularly welcome a young people’s representative and someone to represent parents of school age children.
If you would like to consider joining the panel, please ask at reception.
Please be mindful that although we seek general feedback, this is not the forum to discuss individual clinical matters or air personal complaints against the practice. There are proper channels for this.

If you have any suggestions for the PPG, please get in touch.
Suggestions for discussion can be given to members directly or left at reception.
